The Council, in conjunction with Mayfield Parish Council, are investigating the feasibility of utilising part of the old "Cuckoo Line" railway formation as a bridle path. The section in question is between Bassett's Lane (Mayfield Parish) to near Sheriff's Lane (Rotherfield Parish). The route would include passing throught the old tunnel beneath the A267 at Argos Hill. The Parish Council would welcome any comments that you may wish to make about this project.
A laptop computer and projector were purchased for the Parish in 2004 with funds from the Rotherfield Countryside Tourism Initiative.They are available to borrow by Parishioners and Groups wishing to promote the Village. Jo at the St Martin's Project has now taken over custody of this equipment, those wishing to use it please contact her on 01892 853021
MOBILE LIBRARY SERVICE
The Mobile Library stops outside Rotherfield School fortnightly Saturday 9.30 am to 10am.
Library membership is FREE and available to ALL, and has books, videos/DVDs and talking books for you to borrow.
